Frank Konsella is an avid backcountry skier and ski mountaineer who was the 4th person to ski all of Colorado’s fourteen-thousand foot peaks. Frank has called Crested Butte his home for over 20 years, but has also lived in Rossland and Pemberton, BC.
Frank grew up as an alpine ski racer, training with the Competition Center out of Winter Park, CO. He attended CU Boulder and graduated with a degree in Business in 1996. After moving to Crested Butte, he competed in big mountain freeskiing contests and had several top ten finishes. Today, he is a real estate agent in Crested Butte, as well as owner of 14erskiers.com
Frank is an ambassador of the Avalanche Project because he’s lost good friends to avalanches and hopes he can play a small part to prevent future accidents in the backcountry.
